Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne has been voted as the Premier League's 2021/2022 Player of the Season, with City teammate Phil Foden retaining the Young Player of the Season award.
De Bruyne, who has scored 15 goals and laid on seven assists this season, has beaten off competition from Mohamed Salah and Heung-min Son to claim the award for the second time.

De Bruyne's City teammate Joao Cancelo, Spurs' Golden Boot-chasing Heung-Min Son, Liverpool right back Trent Alexander-Arnold, Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka, Southampton skipper James Ward Prowse and West Ham winger Jarrod Bowen were also on the shortlist for the award.
Foden, who has won the Young Player of the Season for the second consecutive season, has continued his meteoric rise for Pep Guardiola's side. The 21-year-old has netted nine league goals and registered five assists for the league leaders.
The England international pipped Alexander-Arnold, Saka, Chelsea playmaker Mason Mount, West Ham midfielder Declan Rice, Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale and Crystal Palace duo Conor Gallagher and Tyrick Mitchell.

The awards were decided by the votes of all 20 Premier League captains, a panel of experts and a vote on the Premier League website.
Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp, Patrick Vieira, Thomas Frank and Eddie Howe are nominated for the Premier League Manager of the Season award, which will be decided by experts and an online vote.
