Football | Evan Ferguson reportedly available for loan

Evan Ferguson is reportedly available for loan in the January transfer window, according to The Daily Telegraph.

The Brighton striker has found it difficult to break into the Seagulls' first team under new manager Fabian Hurzeler since returning from injury.

Republic of Ireland international Ferguson is currently behind Joao Pedro, Georginio Rutter and Danny Welbeck in the pecking order at the Premier League club.

The 20-year-old, who scored the winner for Ireland in last month's UEFA Nations League win over Finland, has been restricted to 104 minutes in the Premier League this season.

Ferguson's only league goal of the season came last month against Wolves, and the Meathman has started just one of 12 league matches for Brighton so far this season.

The Daily Telegraph has touted Newcastle United, Leicester City, Fulham and West Ham as four clubs interested in signing the Irish striker on loan in January. Ferguson has previously been linked with a number of the 'top six' clubs in England's top flight.

Ferguson signed a new six-year contract with the Seagulls last year.
