UFC | Khabib forces McGregor to tap out in the fourth

The end of McGregor & Khabib kicked off!! How can Khabib's team jump McGregor from behind 😤#UFC229 pic.twitter.com/WLsdoKQxjS — Ryan (@RyanMSP_1) October 7, 2018 Khabib has now extended his unbeaten record to 27 fights, and was the deserved winner inside the octagon. The 30-year-old's grappling skills were on display from the outset, and had McGregor on the ground for most of the first round. The Russian fighter landed a huge right hand early in the second round which sent McGregor to the floor, but the Dubliner recovered quickly to catch Khabib with his knee. Khabib then took McGregor to the ground again, and the lightweight champion rained shots down on his Irish opponent, who had to dig deep to make it to the bell. 'The Notorious' enjoyed more success early in the third as the pair traded shots in the middle of the octagon, but failed to land any shots which really troubled Nurmagomedov. Khabib completed another takedown in the fourth, and after transitioning to a back mount, locked in a choke. McGregor tapped out, and the aforementioned chaos ensued. A difficult night for the Irish fighter, both during and after the fight.
