Football | Champions League last 16 draw revealed

Premier League champions Liverpool will face RB Leipzig in the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League.

Jurgen Klopp's Reds have been drawn against the Bundesliga side who eliminated Manchester United from the competition last week in Monday's draw in Nyon, Switzerland.

Manchester City will also face German opposition after being paired with Borussia Monchengladbach. Interestingly, Pep Guardiola failed to beat Gladbach in any of his last four Bundesliga meetings as Bayern Munich manager.

Frank Lampard's Chelsea will take on La Liga leaders Atletico Madrid, who knocked then-reigning European champions Liverpool out of the tournament last season.

Reigning champions Bayern Munich will clash with Serie A side Lazio.

Spanish giants Barcelona have drawn French champions Paris Saint-Germain in a fascinating match-up, with La Liga champions Real Madrid set to take on Italian side Atalanta.

Elsewhere, Juventus will face Porto and Borussia Dortmund will meet Sevilla.

The first leg of the last 16 ties will begin on Tuesday, February 16th, with the return legs scheduled to commence on March 9th.

The draw for the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final is on 19 March.
