Football | Chelsea and Manchester United share the spoils at Stamford Bridge

Chelsea and Manchester United have produced a scoreless stalemate in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge.

The game's biggest talking point was a penalty shout for United, who appealed for a spot kick for an alleged handball by Callum Hudson-Odoi inside the Chelsea box.

After a VAR consultation, referee Stuart Atwell decided not to award the penalty, much to the chagrin of Ole Gunnar Solskjær.

There was little of the way in goalmouth action in the first half, with Marcus Rashford forcing Edouard Mendy to parry away a dipping free kick from distance, and Hakim Ziyech firing a tame low shot at David de Gea at the other end.

Four minutes into the second half, Ziyech was then denied from eight yards by an excellent reflexive save from de Gea in what was the game's biggest chance.

Chelsea, who are now nine games unbeaten under new boss Thomas Tuchel, remain in fifth place, one point behind the in-form Hammers and one ahead of reigning champions Liverpool.

The point sees United go one point ahead of third-place Leicester City, who suffered a 3-1 defeat to Arsenal on Saturday. Solskjær's men are also now unbeaten in their last 20 Premier League away matches.

However, the Red Devils are now 12 points off league leaders and local rivals Manchester City, who secured a 2-1 victory over West Ham. Overall, it feels like two points lost for both sides, as City continue to charge towards another league title.

Next Sunday's Manchester Derby could be huge.
