Football | Deadline Day's biggest deals

The Premier League summer transfer window has officially shut.

It has been a busy day for Arsenal, who have signed Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey after triggering the France international's £45 million release clause.

Lucas Torreira has gone the other way on loan, while Matteo Guendouzi has joined Hertha Berlin until the end of the season.

Manchester United have also been active on Deadline Day, signing Uruguayan veteran striker Edison Cavani on a free transfer following the forward's release from Paris-Saint Germain.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side have also brought in 27-year-old left back Alex Telles from Porto for £15.4m, while centre back Chris Smalling has moved to Roma for £18 million.

The Red Devils have agreed a deal to sign Amad Diallo from Atalanta in January for €21m, plus €20m in add-ons.

United have also signed Uruguayan Facundo Pellistri from Penarol on a five-year contract, with an option to extend for a further year. The 18-year-old has featured 37 times for the Uruguayan Primera Division club’s first team.

West Ham have sold Republic of Ireland international Josh Cullen to Anderlecht, and have also released injury-prone midfielder Jack Wilshere.

Leeds United have snapped up Brazilian winger Raphinha from French side Rennes on a four-year contract for an undisclosed fee.

Theo Walcott has returned to Southampton, his boyhood club, on a loan deal from Everton.

The Toffees, who have made a strong start to the season under Carlo Ancelotti, have also signed Norwich City defender Ben Godfrey for €20m, and goalkeeper Robin Olsen on a season-long loan from Roma.

Everton have also sold striker Sandro Ramires to Spanish side Huesca.

Spurs have loaned English defender Ryan Sessegnon to Bundesliga side Hoffenheim for the season.

Wolves have sent left back Ruben Vinagre to Olympiacos on loan.

Newcastle United have brought in Peruvian midfielder Rodrigo Vilca from Deportivo Muncipal for an undisclosed fee.

Fulham have completed the permanent signing of centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo from Manchester City, and are expected to confirm the capture of Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek on a season-long loan deal.

Fulham have signed Joachim Andersen from Lyon on loan.

Additional domestic-only window for deals between Premier League and EFL clubs can continue until October 16th.
