Lloyd Kelly - making his first appearance for the club since his £13 million move from Bristol City in the summer - then squared for Scrimshaw to make it 4-0 early in the second half. Jaidon Anthony soon made it five with a delightful finish into the top corner from the edge of the box as the Cherries ran riot. Left back Kelly then set up Kilkenny for the Irishman's third goal of the evening, with Kilkenny once again finding the bottom corner from 20 yards, this time with the aid of a slight deflection. Kelly got in on the scoring with a low driven finish, before Anthony dinked over White for his second goal to make it 8-0. Kilkenny made his competitive debut at senior level for the Premier League in their League Cup win over Forest Green last month, but has yet to make an appearance in the top flight. Eddie Howe is reportedly a huge admirer of Kilkenny - as is Stephen Kenny - and the 19-year-old's performance against Basingstoke will do him no harm in his push for first team action. On this evidence, it won't be long before we see him in the first team at the Vitality.
