When I spoke to the gaffer, I felt it was important to come here. He was great with me. “I’m buzzing to play in front of the fans. All around the world, people know how passionate the Millwall fans are and I think that’s the same being Irish – we have that passion too. I’ll work hard and hopefully show them what I can do. “It’s definitely nice to have fellow Irish lads around me as I settle in here. I can get to know from them more of what the club’s about and it’s great to have the connection with them. With Shaun Williams being a midfielder, he’s particularly someone I can look towards and learn from to try and improve. “I can’t wait to train with the lads every day and I’m raring to go. It still hasn’t sunk in yet, and I don’t know if it will until I play my first minutes – I’m just buzzing to be here.”
