Football | Padraig Amond helps fire Newport into Carabao Cup Fourth round
Carlow native, Padraig Amond, helped stun Championship outfit Watford, in the third round of the Carabao Cup, as his League Two side helped dump their loftier opponents out of the cup competition.
Newport will now face either Newcastle United or Morecambe in the next round.
Tristan Abrahams drew first blood from the penalty spot in the 18th minute, with Joss Labadie adding a second ten minutes later.
While Adalberto Penaranda brought Watford back into the game with a 54th minute penalty, Amond, restored his sides two goal cushion ten minutes later.

David Moyes saw his West Ham side bounce back from the late concession to Eddie Nketiah at the weekend when Arsenal took all three points at the Emirates Stadium, to sweep Hull City aside 5-1.

A late winner from Jacob Brown saw Stoke City knock Wolves out of the same competition, while there wee also wins for Brighton who beat Portsmouth with ease, 4-0, while Brentford had to rely on penalties to eliminate West Brom after a 2-2 draw on the night.
