With David De Gea and Paul Pogba presumed to be ruled out out of the game, the pressure looks set to mount, but the former United striker has drawn parallels on the clubs website, with a similar situation when United traveled to Paris in a game where progression in the Champions League seemed unlikely.

“You know, injuries are part and parcel of the game. I can’t say who is going to be available but we’ll have 11 men out there and it reminds me a little bit of the PSG situation.

The news on De Gea is positive though, and could give his side a much needed boost. He has travelled with the squad for the game, following a groin injury suffered while on international duty with Spain this week.
Sergio Romero will start if De Gea cannot prove his fitness in time.
