Football | Two Manchester City players test positive for COVID-19

Manchester City duo Aymeric Laporte and Riyad Mahrez have tested positive for COVID-19.

The club have confirmed that the players, who aren't displaying any symptoms of the virus, are self-isolating at home.

"Everyone at the club wishes Riyad and Aymeric a speedy recovery ahead of their return to training and the new season," a club statement announced.

Pep Guardiola's side face Wolves at Molineux on September 21st in their first Premier League match of the 2020/21 campaign.
