Manchester United have confirmed that Ruud van Nistelrooy won't be part of new manager Ruben Amorim's coaching staff.
Van Nistelrooy, who joined United as an assistant coach in the summer, has been the Premier League club's interim manager since the Red Devils sacked Erik ten Hag last month.
United remained unbeaten in four matches under the Dutchman, picking up three wins and a draw after a miserable start to the season under ten Hag.
The former United striker signed off his brief tenure with a 3-0 league win over Leicester City on Sunday.
"Manchester United can confirm that Ruud van Nistelrooy has left the club," a club statement read.
"Ruud rejoined in the summer and has taken charge of the team for the past four matches as interim head coach.
"Ruud is, and always will be, a Manchester United legend.
"We are grateful for his contribution and the way in which he has approached his role throughout his time with the club. He will always be very welcome at Old Trafford."
United have confirmed that three other coaches have also left the club.
Assistant manager Rene Hake, goalkeeping coach Jelle ten Rouwelaar and analyst Pieter Morel have all departed Old Trafford.
Amorim, the highly rated young coach tasked with arresting the slide at United, arrived at Carrington on Monday, where he met with van Nistelrooy and other members of staff.
However, the 39-year-old is unable to take training until his work permit is granted.
Amorim led Sporting to a 4-2 win over Braga on Sunday in his final game at the helm of the Portuguese club.
After the international break, United will face Ipswich Town in Amorim's first game as United manager on November 21st, before hosting Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League and Everton in the Premier League.
The Red Devils are currently 13th in the table, picking up just 15 points from their opening 11 league matches this season. They are four points off Arsenal in fourth and 13 behind league leaders Liverpool heading into the international break.
