Watford have sacked manager Quique Sanchez Flores.
The Spaniard has been dismissed just 85 days into his second spell at the club, with the Hornets winning just one of 10 Premier League matches since Flores replaced Javi Gracia.
Watford have picked up just seven points in 10 league matches since his return.
The 54-year-old guided Watford to a win away at Norwich at Carrow Road in the Premier League, with the only other victory of his brief second tenure coming against Swansea in the Carabao Cup.
Watford announced Flores' sacking after the club's 2-1 defeat to Southampton, with the club rooted to the bottom of the table on eight points, six adrift of safety.
"With regret, Watford Football Club confirms the departure of Head Coach Quique Sánchez Flores," a club statement read.
"Quique is a man of great integrity and it was clear how much he wanted to have a positive impact, but ultimately results have dictated our decision," said Hornets' Chairman & CEO Scott Duxbury.
"The appointment of a new Head Coach is imminent, and with nearly two-thirds of the season remaining, we will provide all the support necessary to make the coming months successful."
"No further comment from Watford FC will be made until a new Head Coach is announced."
Having sacked Flores' predecessor Gracia after just four Premier League games, Watford are now on the hunt for their third manager of the season.
Chris Hughton and Paul Clement have been strongly linked with the vacancy.
