Domestic Football
There is just the solitary game this evening on the home front, with Dundalk making the trip to Waterford for a quarter-final clash in the FAI Cup. Waterford have shipped 10 goals in their 3 most recent meetings in the league, the most recent being a 3-0 defeat at Oriel Park at the beginning of July.
Waterford, though, do have some current form following a 3-1 win over Heart of Midlothian Colts in the Tunnock's Caramel Wafers Cup, which was preceded by a league win over Neale Fenn’s Cork side.
Dean Walsh, Michael O'Connor, John Kavanagh and Will Fitzgerald are all expected to miss out due to injury for Alan Reynolds side. Zach Elbouzedi is currently on international duty with Stephen Kenny’s Under-21 side, and impressed as a substitute in the 1-0 win over Armenia on Friday night.
Jordan Flores and John Mountney remain on the injury list for Vinny Perth.

Euro 2020 Qualifiers
The penultimate evening in this round of fixtures sees some interesting ties. Following their sumptuous win away to Germany on Friday, Holland will be looking to close the gap on Germany and Northern Ireland in Group C when they travel to Estonia, who have not secured a point in their 4 games to date.
If Northern Ireland can hold Germany at Windsor Park it will be a huge boost for the side who are undefeated in the group.
Azerbaijan couldn’t quite hold on against Wales, falling to a late Gareth Bale header in Cardiff on Friday, and they welcome Croatia to to Baku this evening. In the other Group E game tonight, Hungary, who are on 9 points, along with Croatia, welcome Slovakia to Budapest.

There are a glut of games in Group G. North Macedonia are at the foot of the group table and will be looking to secure their first point, when they travel to Riga to face their nearest group rivals, Latvia.
At the other end of the table, the top two teams face off in a game that could go a long way to deciding who tops the group, when Poland welcome Austria to Warsaw.
Slovenia and Israel complete the groups games. Both sides are still in with a decent chance of qualification and will each be looking to close the gap on the group leaders.
Scotland will be desperate for a win in their Group I game against Belgium. A tall order, but following the defeat to Russia, Steve Clarke will need to pull off a masterclass of a performance. Particularly, when the 3-0 reversal to the Belgians in June is considered.
A battle of the minnows sees San Marino host Cyprus, while Russia host Kazakhstan, a team they have already overturned 4-0 in the away game in March.
