Three Ulster players, Robert Baloucounce, Tom O’Toole and Nick Timoney, have also been called up, while Munster duo Fineen Wycherley and Gavin Coombes are the two other new faces in the squad.

Ireland head coach Farrell has named James Ryan as captain for the Tests, with Johnny Sexton among the familiar faces who've bene left out of the experimental squad.

Cian Healy and Keith Earls have also been rested.

"I know the players will come in eager to make the most of this opportunity to pull on the green jersey and play in front of supporters for at the Aviva Stadium for the first time in 18 months," Farrell said.

"Johnny, Cian and Keith will not be involved in this window as we grow the experience of other players. It will be a great opportunity to see can this group perform at this level."

The matches will take place at the Aviva Stadium on July 3rd and July 10th.
