Munster and Ireland have suffered a significant injury blow with the news that Joey Carbery will undergo wrist surgery.
Carbery has been ruled out for the immediate future due to the wrist ligament injury, and is now a doubt for the upcoming Six Nations campaign.
The Irish out-half will also miss Munster's must-win Heinken Cup clash against Racing 92 in Paris this weekend.
Tadhg Beirne, who underwent successful ankle surgery last week, will also miss Munster's trip to France.
Andrew Conway was taken off at half time against Ulster on Friday night due to a neck injury, and will be assessed ahead of the crucial clash against Racing 92.
Johnny Sexton is also a doubt for Andy Farrell's maiden Six Nations game at the helm when Ireland face Scotland on February 1st, with the Leinster star out of action since early December.
Munster are currently second on 11 points behind Pool 4 leaders Racing, and sit just one point clear of Saracens after four matches in the Heineken Cup.
Leinster and Ulster sit atop Pool 1 and Pool 3 respectively, while Connacht are third in Pool 5.
