Rugby | Munster trio ink new contracts

Munster trio Andrew Conway, Billy Holland and Jeremy Loughman have extended their contracts with the Irish province.

Ireland international Conway, 28, has signed a new three-year deal which will keep him with Munster until 2023.

34-year-old veteran Holland has added one year on to his current deal. The oldest player in the squad, the 13-season lock has 226 Munster appearances to his name.

Nevada-born scrummager Loughman, meanwhile, has signed a two-year extension which will keep him in Ireland until the summer of 2022.

Conway has racked up 124 appearances for Munster since making his debut in 2013, and is the province's third-highest try scorer of all-time.

The winger, who has started both of Ireland's Six Nations matches so far in 2020, and will win his 21st cap against England at Twickenham on Sunday.

"Retaining the services of Andrew, Billy and Jeremy is again great news for Munster Rugby and for our plans for the future," head coach Johann van Graan said.

"They are a quality trio that all add huge value to our squad with their own individual skill sets and experience.

"It is another huge boost for the province."
