Ireland rugby internationals Jacob Stockdale and James Ryan have both signed new three-year central contracts with the IRFU.
The IRFU have confirmed that Ulster wing Stockdale has signed a new three-year deal which will keep him in Ireland until the end of the 2022/23 season.
Stockdale has scored 27 tries in 63 appearances for Ulster since 2016, and exploded onto the international scene in 2017.
The 23-year-old has also plundered 16 tries for Ireland.
“I am delighted to have signed an IRFU contract,” said Stockdale.
“I am involved with two ambitious squads and I know I will continue to develop as a player in both environments.
“Things have been going really well at Ulster and there are exciting things happening in the Ireland set-up and the IRFU high performance centre is world-class. I look forward to performing on the field for both Ulster and Ireland.”
News of Stockdale's contract comes a day after Leinster lock Ryan also signed a three-year deal.
23-year-old Ryan, who has won the Champions Cup and two Pro 14 titles with Leinster, also made his international debut in 2017.
The former Ireland U20 World Cup captain also started four of the six games in Ireland's 2018 Grand Slam triumph.
“I am delighted to sign an IRFU contract”, said Ryan.
“A lot has been packed into the start of my professional career with both Ireland and Leinster and there has been some great success and a few disappointments but I am involved in two very exciting squads that want to be challenging for trophies.”
Both players have been named to start against Wales in the Six Nations at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday.
Stockdale will earn his 27th cap, while Ryan will win his 25th.
