WATCH | Chris Forrester's stunning strike against Shelbourne

Chris Forrester produced a stunning long-range strike as St. Patrick's Athletic beat Shelbourne 2-0 at Richmond Park last night.

The 27-year-old midfielder collected a throw in from Jason McClelland, opened up his body and unleashed an unstoppable left-footed drive from 30 yards which flew into the top corner.

Rory Feely's excellent header from a Robbie Benson corner 10 minutes into the second half sealed an important win for Stephen Donnelly's side in Inchicore.

Both sides had come into the game on 13 points, with St. Pat's searching for their third home win of the season.

The 2-0 victory moves St. Pat's into fifth in the Premier Division, ahead of Sligo Rovers on goal difference.
