GAA | Tipperary and Limerick progress to Munster final

Tipperary will face Limerick in the Munster Senior Hurling Championship final.

Tipp beat the All-Ireland champions to top the round-robin table, but Cork's defeat to Clare means Limerick have still made the provincial final.

Cork have finished in third place on score difference, meaning Clare have been eliminated despite beating the Rebels today.

Waterford's summer is also over after they were knocked out mathematically last week.

Tipperary have topped the group on eight points, with Limerick, Cork, and Clare all finishing on four points apiece.

Liam Sheedy's Tipp beat Limerick by 1-22 to 0-21 in Thurles to maintain their 100% record in the group.

Seamus Callanan scored an excellent goal for the hosts, who are going from strength to strength under Sheedy.

Clare beat Cork by 2-23 to 2-18 in a thrilling match at Cusack Park.

Patrick Horgan scored 2-9 for the Rebels, but the Banner still had five points to spare over John Meyler's men in Ennis.
