Six Nations | Ireland name U20 team to face England

Noel McNamara has named the Ireland U20 team to face England.

The U20 side will take on their rivals in the first round of the Six Nations at Irish Independent Park on Friday evening.

Exciting Leinster teenager Scott Penny has been named at flanker.

The 19-year-old has already made four PRO14 appearances for the province, making his debut in a win over the Ospreys last November.

He is joined by Martin Moloney and John Hodnett in the back row.

Hooker Dylan Tierney-Martin will be joined by props Josh Wycherley and Thomas Clarkson in the front row, with Niall Murray and Charlie Ryan lining out in the second row.

Craig Casey and Harry Byrne start at scrum-half and out-half respectively, with captain David Shaw partnering Liam Turner in the centre.

Conor Phillips and Jonathan Wren are on the wings, with Jake Flannery operating at full-back.

Ireland have won the U20 Six Nations twice to date, with wins coming in 2007 (Grand Slam) and 2010.

England, who finished second behind France in last year's tournament, will provide tough opposition.
